When driving here, be sure to watch out for them. Dutch traffic laws favour cyclists. You will need to give way to bicycles at stop signs. If you park on the street, double-check before opening the door and getting out, as there might be a cyclist whizzing along the street.

Parking in the centre of Eindhoven can be expensive, with the rates increasing the closer you are to the action. In multi-storey car parks, there are ticket machines like you will find in other countries. However, when parking on the street, you can pay using a mobile app. You will have to enter your car's registration number into the app, and there is no need to print a pay-and-display ticket. There are several benefits to paying in this way: you don't need to walk between the meter and the car, and you'll pay your fee after you return to your car. This means that you will pay per minute and be charged for the time you have actually spent. There's no need to estimate time in advance or to hurry back because you're worried about the meter running out. Parking systems like this can be found across the Netherlands.

If you would rather save money and avoid paying for parking, there is a park-and-ride area in Eindhoven South. Here, you can park for free, then take a bus to the city centre. There are some other park-and-ride areas on the outskirts of the city, although some charge a fee for parking. The fees are always far lower than in the centre.

The Netherlands is notable for its low-speed limits, particularly on motorways. From 06:00-19:00, the motorway speed limit is 100 km/h.
